When I had started my "OGRE" battle entry, I immediately thought of a lot of the LA style of graffiti. Specifically a writer by the name of Atlas. But as I progressed, I began to realize that this was a way to utilize something I've wanted to do for a long time. You see I am 100% Scottish or at least as close to 100% as you can get in the modern age. And I've been fascinated for a long time with Celtic knots because of their intricate patterns. I'm not much of a Scottish pride person but I feel like I wanted to represent that in my artwork and particularly my graffiti for a long time but I just could never figure out how. And I kind of stumbled on to it in the middle of this. To me the term "OGRE" is kind of like Shrek or other such infamous ogres and has a Scottish or Irish bend to it whether intentional or not. So when I was designing the "OGRE" letters I leaned into my Scottish roots and my decision to do Celtic knot style art in the letters. As a result I think this may be one of the best graffiti pieces I've ever made and certainly my best battle entry. Enjoy.IMG_20250404_131409687_HDR~2.jpg
